Apple Store to open in Basingstoke?

Apple StoreDuring my last visit to the Basingstoke iStore one of the guy’s who I know pretty well now asked me if I had seen the Basingstoke Gazette. I hadn’t of course, so he promptly brought me up to speed.

It would seem that the Basingstoke iStore is to close in September as Apple are opening up their own store five doors down in unit 65 in Festival Place, previously occupied by The Pier.

The Basingstoke Gazette has the full story here, but there are now only 29 Apple retail stores across the country, and Basingstoke is set to be one of the biggest outside of London.
 



 
August 16, 2011 – This morning I received an email from Apple announcing the opening of the new Basingstoke store this Saturday 20th August. Cool!

August 24th Well I couldn’t quite face “Opening Day” but managed to pop into the new store today. It’s just like any other Apple Store to be honest, but only 10 minutes from my home ;-)
